Park-Vue ™ patio doors have been performance tested and rated, in compliance with the national system established by the NFRC (National Fenestration Rating Council). These ratings enable consumers to compare the energy efficiency of various patio door and window products.

Ratings appearing on the NFRC label include:

  • U Factor, or how well the unit keeps heat inside the home.  The lower the U Factor, the better the energy performance. (NOTE:  R Factor  = 1 / U Factor)
  • Solar Heat Gain Coefficient, or how well the door keeps solar heat out of the home.  The lower the SHGC, the less solar heat the unit will transmit.
  • Visible Light Transmittance, or the percentage of visible light that comes through the door.
